ADP Sports is dedicated to demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ through sports. We are committed to providing an opportunity for the youth of our community to participate in sports surrounded by an atmosphere of safety and fun. The fulfillment of this ministry will be in teaching key character qualities that will benefit them in all walks of life.

Boys and Girls (5–12)

Start Date: September 12th
End Date: October 24th
Day: Saturday
Start Time: 9:00 a.m. (until 11:30 a.m.)

What’s It About: Happy 5 Soccer is played on Saturdays only, which is a change compared to the hustle and bustle of most kids sports leagues and activities. We want you to be able to spend time with your family during the week so we have included both practice and games in the same time period. A typical day will consist of a warm-up, age-specifc skills, strategy skills, game scenarios and finally games. For the older leagues, typically 10–12 year olds, we also provide a competition time, where their skills are put to the test against all of the other players in their age bracket and tallied through the year. The highest three scores will be the winners at the end of the year.

We provide the kids with skills, a strategy drill, and then immediately submerse them in a game situation. We believe they will thrive because they can practice what they just learned, rather than letting them forget it during the week. This has been a winning strategy that has been used for many years at Happy 5 Soccer.

Our league focus is developing character and integrity to help them with life so you will find coaches and helpers with a desire to teach those traits and ensure the kids are having fun. Come out and see for yourself the difference at Happy 5 Soccer.

ADP Sports Youth Baseball

Boys and Girls (5–6) Tee Ball

Start Time: 9:00 a.m. (until 10:30 a.m.)

Meet the Coach: Thursday, May 7th @ 6:30 pm

Boys and Girls (7–8) Coach Pitch

Start Date: May 9th
End Date: June 27th
Day: Saturday
Start Time: 11:00 a.m. (until 12:30 a.m.)
Included In Fee: Tee Shirt, Baseball Pants and Team Picture
Meet the Coach: Friday, May 8th @ 6:30 pm

Saturday Breakdown

Each session will include a 45-minute practice and 45-minute game.

What’s it about?

This is a unique program designed to give the players the best opportunity to learn the fundamentals in a practice setting and immediately put them into play in a game setting. Former Major Leaguer and ADP Sports Director Mark Brown trains all coaches. For parents it is an opportunity to enjoy your child’s participation in a positive, fun atmosphere that involves a one-day per week commitment to sports at this early developmental stage in their life.

2009 Victory In Soccer 5-Day Camp

Dates: Monday, June 22nd through Friday, June 26th
Time: 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Cost: $75

Soccer: ADP SportsPark will be hosting the 5-Day Victory In Soccer Camp, June 22nd through June 26th, featuring Goran Hunjak.

The weekday camp for kids 5–12 years of age, will be in the evening (5:30–8:30 p.m.) teaching a different skill each day and finishing the day with a game. The camp will come to a close on Saturday with fun, games and a family-centered cookout to close out the week. Each soccer player will receive a soccer ball, camp t-shirt, surprise giveaway and great memories.

About Goran Hunjak

Goran was born and raised in Croatia, Europe. He played professional soccer both indoor and outdoor for 19 years. He has played in 18 different countries. God blessed him with many different accomplishments and honors during his professional career. Some of Goran’s accomplishments are:

• Seven time All-Star
• One of 16 players who have scored 500 professional goals
• One of 10 players in US history to score over 1,000 points
• Offensive Player-of-the-Year five times
• MVP-of-the-Year four times
• Member of the U.S. National Indoor Team at the 1996 World Cup in Spain
• Member of the Croatian Youth National Team

Goran has played professional soccer for the following clubs:

It's our fifth season of ADP Sports. Below you will find a listing of our leagues. Registration can be done in person for the softball and baseball leagues on March 21st and 28th. You can also register by completing the online form for the Youth Baseball leagues. To encourage family participation, every additional family member registers at half price (details)! Who Is Mark Brown?

Mark is the ADP Sports Director and Youth Pastor of First Bible Baptist Church

My professional pitching career spanned seven seasons, including stints in the Major Leagues with the Baltimore Orioles (1984) and Minnesota Twins (1985). After my playing career was over, I worked as an Orioles’ minor league pitching coach for two years.

Having been a professional baseball pitcher and pitching coach, I have surrendered the talents God has given me to ministering the gospel through sports. In the past, I have had the privilege of serving Him in various sports and baseball chapel ministries. Also, through coaching, group clinics, and personal instruction, I have had the pleasure of working with baseball players, parents, and coaches.

Currently, as the Youth Pastor of FBBC, God has allowed me the humbling assignment of serving Him through investing in the lives of young people. I am truly excited about the opportunity to be the ADP Sports Director as we endeavor to operate a
ministry of excellence.

Why Build ADP SportsPark?

Our church believes in the mission to meet the needs of families in our community. Realizing how important physical fitness and spiritual direction are for kids and adults, a carefully thought out plan was created. ADP SportsPark is the fulfillment of a God-directed vision to construct a sports facility that would be the home of ADP Sports. This facility includes many amenities that will help us fulfill the mission — to make an investment in the residents in the communities of Eastern Jackson County.

Where Do We Play Ball?

The ADP SportsPark is located in Blue Springs at 1441 SE Adams Dairy Parkway (across from the YMCA and behind First Bible Baptist Church).
